DE - have Lawler, need one of the Scotts or a newcomer to step up.
DT - Have Gentry, need Minor, Green, or a newcomer to step up.
CB - I think we can find two from Jeanlys, Johnson, Richardson, Wyatt, Sutton, Davis. Montgomery would make me feel a lot better.
S - Have Millines. Need Clemons, Onu, or Clark to step up.

Those parts of the defense I think we have a decent known and then a lot of young talent to choose from. I think they will be okay.

LB is the biggest unknown defensively and will make or break us. Carroll, McNew, and Mitchell right now unless someone new can steal a spot.

There have been reports we could see Kevin Johnson line up at the safety spot opposite Millines. Supposedly he is the best athlete of the bunch and can cover some serious ground.

That would be great. Not sure about his size/tackling? But athleticism and speed is there. It would indicate that the staff feels Sutton and Davis are both capable of playing in the 2 deep right away.

I don't hold it against either player. TCU has had its share of knuckleheads that got in trouble. Of course there is a big difference between having a player that is already on your roster get in trouble and letting a player with a violent disciplinary history at another school walk on at your university. Its what Art Briles did.

Ayeni punched a guy and got charged with a misdemeanor...not defending what he did, but a lot of people get in drunken fights in college. Far as I know, he didnt hit a woman or rape a woman.

Honestly, it sounds a lot like what Trevone Boykin did, except Boykin battered a police officer. And TCU people acted like Boykin was Jesus
