Baylor rape effect

With the huuuuuge amount of tickets available on the secondary market (and low prices)...ticket demand has put on a chastity belt. 8)

As I've shared here before, we have a kid from Navasota that will be playing 2nd team OL for Baylor. He has shared that they plan to run the ball a good bit more than last year, which does not bode well for our defensive depth. They will go after everyone, and will run it up given the opportunity.

What I think is going to be interesting is the first time they hit a bit of adversity, while still contemplating the possible future penalties this season....they could very well have their own "Arizona" moment. My hope is that it will be against us that they unravel. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING would give me more pleasure than beating those people.

Sorry, I genuinely don't know, what's an 'Arizona' moment?

How would you like to have to try to cheer for kids and coaches who most likely covered up rape?

They better worry about winning first. I'm not knocking Baylor, because I know they are loaded in some places, but the offensive is now paper thin before with two potential starters in Hammad and Autry left (face charges) and Stidham transferred - they better not lose a soul in preseason. The D-line doesn't return a single starter and just lost ITS biggest recruit in Jeremy Faulkam and while they should be okay at LB and CB it's still Phil Bennett's defense we're talking about here - expect lots of points. So their projected record went from about 10-2 to about 7-5.

Against us, I think we hang with them until late in the third, early fourth. We'll see.

Not so worried about getting worn down this year. More worried about what happens when they get past the d-line and up against the LBs.

It will be interesting to watch their attitude in this game. Is the team bought into the new coach? Or is the locker room split between players who are pissed at Briles and players who are pissed at the school?

If we can manage to keep the game close and put them under pressure, some of that might come out to our advantage.

Apparent reluctance by some of our players to come out in the second half to play the game back in '85-86 era, due to constant media/NCAA pressure on programming prior weeks. Bad first half, and then despair.

That was 1985, lost to a good Arizona team on the road 28-6.

Again, compare with other private schools that play in off campus stadiums.

No one wants to watch Temple, Rutgers, UTEP or Rice it seems. Especially if it means driving halfway cross town to watch them.
