2016 "GAMEDAY" signs? - Who designed these?

Not to be ungrateful, but take a look at the yard signs SMU is handing out.

Why would you design an SMU yard sign that the main thing people will see as they drive by is the word "GAMEDAY"?

Why is SMU and SMU Football the small print and the word "GAMEDAY" the bold larger print that people would see as they drive by your front yard?

C'mon, some newb in the last cubicle designed that for his project in his Quad C advertising class.

Just playing a little devil's advocate here. We are the only D1 school in Dallas. A Gameday sign should imply SMU. For those that are curious as to who it is for, they can read a little more.

Seems as though they are marketing to where we want to be, not to where we currently are, and I do not totally disagree.

One of my long standing slogans I used to have on my wall was "Treat a man as he is and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as you want him to be and he will become that man." Perhaps this is the thought behind the sign.

Have to disagree on this Mark. In my extensive years in the political arena, we found that these signs are meant for the drive-by. All the driver will see on these signs is Gameday. He/she will not pick up the "SMU" in most cases, thus the intended effect is lost.

The band is too small too 94 it needs to grow to 2k
