Our DL is bigger than BU'S?Although I knew BU had suffered a lot of losses (graduation, arrest, suspension, and transfers) on the DL, I wasn't prepared to see this 2-deep Unfortunately, their LB and DB corps are more experienced.

Re: Baylor depth chart / game notesThey have a section about the series between the school's that includes this:
"Starting with the first meeting in 1916, the teams met each season (with the exception of World War II) through 1986, a span of 70 years. NCAA sanctions forced the cancellation of SMU's 1987 season and University officials cancelled the Mustangs' 1988 campaign. The team then picked up their Southwest Conference rivalry in 1989, playing yearly until Baylor join the Big 12 to start the 1996 season." Am I the only one who thinks Baylor is way out of line bringing that up again almost 30 years later?
Re: Baylor depth chart / game notes
Not necessarily out of line, but their own recent "news" will live as talking points for other teams for a LONG LONG time ....and potentially more to follow. Time will tell how it all plays out for them.
Re: Baylor depth chart / game notes
considering we haven't beat them since the DP, probably not
Re: Baylor depth chart / game notesSaw that, and it was a little surprising. The vast majority of schools put nothing in their game notes about the next opponent other than the team's record, statistical leaders. It's not like coaches go to the other team's game notes for bulletin board material, but the rule of thumb is that the PR arm for a team almost never even acknowledges what may or may not have happened off the court/field for an opponent.

Re: Baylor depth chart / game notesGameday Notes aren't written for the fans-they are expressly written for the Press covering the Game. At the exact same time I was reading this thread they had Gary Patterson on Ch. 8 describing the history of the Arkansas/TCU series and its interruption after Arkansas left for the SEC. I'm sure Patterson got that from TCU SID and their Gameday Notes. They are just trying to get the information to the Press and I bet the history of this great series will be a topic covered by several media this week. As someone used to work in the SID office, I don't see anything wrong with a topic being covered (the opponents/rivalry series) since that topic has been covered in every single Gameday Notes ever written by every school since the inception of time. Its always in there.
