Baylor site has a free breakdown on SMU
Part one covers the offense. I figured you guys might like to read it. It's got videos and some breakdowns from the UNT game.

That is quite a job done on analyzing our team. Thanks

This may be one of the more telling observations made...
One concept SMU used a lot last year was Sucker. This concept uses a pivot route by an inside receiver to draw the underneath coverage away from a dig route by the outside receiver. This can be run with a third receiver drawing coverage deeper than the dig route or with just two. I have included a clip of each although Davis scrambles on the first one when the pass was open.

Who is our resident opposition analyzer? I expect the same videos on the upcoming Liberty and TCU games. Thanks in advance.

Wow, does this guy do this for every Baylor opponent?
Re: Baylor site has a free breakdown on SMU
I am hoping Baylor has a free breakdown for about three hours right around kickoff...

Yes, one for every game. Some get paywalled. Used to be at Baylor247

This is Davis being Davis. I don't think he can stay in the pocket for more than 2 seconds.

But he does stay in the pocket too long. A lot of times, he watches one receiver, holds the ball, and then panics when there is no trouble, scrambles into trouble and then scrambles away. If you are going to bail after the first read, make a quick read and run.

If he is holding the ball because receivers are not open that is one thing but if they are wide open then that is another thing all together. You are not being clear in your statements.

We had receivers running wide open all night against UNT that Davis never saw.

Yes we were yelling that all night. As JJ would say, 'wide a $ $ open.'
Re: Baylor site has a free breakdown on SMU
It is encouraging to hear that multiple receivers were open during the game.
