lol biggest knock is the lack of support for the football team. SMU is a tiny school located in Dallas, that not even Dallasites care about.

the sky turning pink is more probable than either SMU beating Baylor or SMU being invited to B12.

Fist off...way to crap all over my Friday.

Second...ever seen a sunset? The sky literally turns pink.

[quote="NTXCoog"]Besides just winning, the UH/OU game had very high attendance with the majority being UH fans. Plus it pulled monster TV ratings in Houston (50% higher than any regular season game last year and 78% higher than last year's highest Big 12 game. Also higher than UT/ND) It also pulled great ratings in DFW. That directly challenges the notion that UH doesn't bring any new television viewers to the conference especially in the Houston market that the Big 12 supposedly already owned.[quote]
What Houston has done the last couple of years is very impressive and I think we all believe they are deserving of an invite but let's not pretend Houston has a history of great attendance or strong tv ratings in Houston. As recent as 2014 UH had trouble getting 20,000 at most home games. Last week's game did very well tv ratings wise because they were playing #3 OU, and UH has a lot of buzz. I'll be curious to see what the tv rating is when they play UCF or Tulsa.

If we win one of the two games and have a great season with great attendance it would help. If we win one of the two but still finish 6-6 with middling attendance then no.

Baylor is so loathed by fans, anyone with compassion toward victims of sexual violence and animal abuse, and America, that a win by David over ugly Goliath makes Smoo media darlings.

Most likely not gonna happen, but it's fun to dream.

The decision is being made around the middle of October from what I am hearing. So going 6-6 probably will have not a chance a happening nor attendance. With that being said I hope SMU goes undefeated.

Uh, it wouldn't HURT that's for damn sure.

I think it helps but neither a win nor a loss is a super huge deal one way or the other right now for us I'm guessing. Just don't lay an absolute egg. Keep it as competitive as possible for as long as possible.

I fear an absolute [deleted] kicking, especially with no Davis, unfortunately.

Didn't SMU recently announce that the USF game would be dedicated to sexual / domestic violence awareness and prevention. I thought I read that HCCM said we were the only program in the country doing something like that.

And we just had a former sexual assault victim speak to the football team last month.

Could you imagine the media pouncing on the dichotomy between SMU and Baylor if we could somehow pull out a win. It would be PR gold.

All you do is spew nonsense like your buddy blackoutpony. He is doing a great job demolishing one of the paid sites.

Not trying to get banned, I'm simply tired of these guys. If they don't like what I say they can ignore me or keep it to themselves. I don't have to subscribe to the same narrative of bla bla we suck we are horrible we cheated chad will be gone everything is so bad aroundhere and we deserve it wah wah.
That's it. I make good use of the ignore feature here and there...people are welcome to try it, it works wonders. If someone doesn't like what I write, ignore away.

Then why would you even post anything if it's the same thing everytime. Go somewhere else and post or do you like hearing people get upset with what you say? That's kinda sad.
