Gotta disagree on the security. Have been to dozens of big time college football games, some with twice as many people trying to get in. This was the worst I have ever experienced. They have a serious problem, and I think design is part of the problem. Just not enough gates, and they don't have enough staff to handle it.

I can't believe no one has commented about the "call"" that changed the game today. Lawyer sacks the QB on third and long and they call a phantom hands to face on Green? to extend the drive??

If you go back and watch the game, it changed the entire game.....

That was a huge turning point. Instead of giving us the ball with good field position, they score a touchdown. Would love to see that replay.

Colbert should have played to give Hicks a breather. Don't understand that at all. He might have given us a spark in the second half. Has the staff lost confidence in him? And while we supposedly have a lot of talented receivers we never saw them contribute again yesterday except Proche and Sutton. I thought Honey was gong to be a factor this year and he is nowhere to be seen. Thomas is struggling too so far. Hicks throwing wobbly passes most of day is troubling too.

that was disheartening but was a trend all day (untimely mistakes, that is)...like the roughing call that extended a 1st half Baylor drive. We don't yet have the talent to match top 25 programs so we have to play mistake free ball. As for the "phantom" call, one could argue there might have been a little bias among those officials...who tried to call a Baylor TD when the ball was CLEARLY fumbled at the one yard line. Our team is still growing up, but there was much to be encouraged by yesterday.

Now...we can't let Liberty become this year's JMU. Need a convincing win to open the home slate.

I just wish Hicks had not thrown the pick when Sutton was all alone in the back of the end zone. Hopefully he learns from that very costly mistake

Another blown call was on Sutton's touchdown catch that the official said he was out of the end zone. Baylor makes that catch it is called a touchdown every time....

Ridiculous

also saves the pick two plays later,,,,

I thought that should have been reviewed. Wonder why it wasn't. The call on Green was huge and was horrible.

There were about 5 plays that I think really changed the game.

1. The terrible hands to the face call on the 3rd and long.
2. Hicks pick in the end zone. I was on the grass right behind the end zone and if i could have yelled louder to lob it over the defenders head i would have.
3. The roughing the punter.
4. We were driving and in Baylor territory. Freeman just ran for about 5 yards on 2nd down and it was 3 and about 2 and they call a short pass pay on the sideline. We were in 4 down territory and I know Freeman could have got 2 yards in 2 plays.
5. I believe it was 3 and long and Baylor threw a touchdown in the corner of the end zone on the side with the open grass area. Our DB had good coverage he just jumped too early. If he doesnt even jump at all he could have knocked the pass down.

2 other things.
I talked to several Baylor fans and they said the security has never been like this. Normally they said they pretty much just walk in the gates.

Also unbelievable catch by Proche on the SMU sideline

I was at the game so I did not get to see a replay. Was it at all a decent call? Flag certainly seemed to come out late.

I would think security would be much tighter all over the place this weekend - 15th anniversary of 9/11

Proche probably should have extended more to catch that bomb that he got his left hand on. Commentators even mentioned he didn't appear to give it his all.

There was no hands to the face by the player called. Possible they got the number wrong and another player did something, but they only showed one quick replay.
