Questions about Liberty? It seems every time that our school plays someone new there are a slew of questions that opposing fans have about us. Whether it is about our football team or our school, bring your questions to this thread.
Re: Questions about Liberty?who are your best players?
Re: Questions about Liberty?Did Bob Sturm really break his nose on the rim while dunking? Who are the other famous/semi-famous alums besides Sturm and Christian band DCTalk?
Hope you enjoy Dallas, the Boulevard, and the game experience.
Re: Questions about Liberty?Did Falwell's wife select the art in the suites in your stadium?
Re: Questions about Liberty? Not really a question, but I'm seeing a ton of posters on the Liberty boards think Liberty will win by 7-10 points.
Re: Questions about Liberty? Why shouldn't they? James Madison came in and won last year, and Liberty hung with VaTech and then destroyed Jacksonville. Good team.

Re: Questions about Liberty?
Dante Shells - WR Juwan Wells - DE Solomon McGinty - SS (Navasota/Tyler JC) Chris Turner - CB Trey Turner - P This would have much easier the past few years when we had NFL prospects on both sides of the ball. But we don't have as many standouts this year that make you sit up and take notice.
Sturm was on campus after my time. I was in school with the DC Talk guys. TobyMac was a captain of our golf team at the time. Sam Ponder is probably the name that will stand out to most of you. NBC5's Pat Doney went to school at LU. Our highest profile player currently in the NFL is Giants RB Rashad Jennings. The only Cowboys from LU were James McKnight & Kelvin Edwards back in the '80s & '90s. Not exactly household names. As for Liberty folks being high on our chances, we typically do well against G5 schools. JMU is a peer school so that certainly factors into the mindset to a certain degree. Most of our fans are located in the Eastern Time Zone so they don't see much of you guys. But there are a slew of Liberty sumni in Texas like me who have a ton of respect for Coach Morris and your program. Yeah, Patrick Henry was from just a short drive from our campus. But Lynchburg is usually more connected historically to Thomas Jefferson. History oozes everyhere in Virginia. As for the art in our suites, I couldn't tell you much. But I can tell you that stadium is exceptionally sweet for an FCS house. We have catch in hand and designs to expand once we finally get an FBS invitation. Almost all of our athletic facilities are AAC quality.

Who doesn't? ![]()
Re: Questions about Liberty?
They're pretty confident because they've beaten FBS teams the past two seasons. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: Questions about Liberty?
They beat Appalachian State and Georgia State, both Sunbelt. Liberty is going down in Flames. In other news I am curious to see how JMU handles UNC. Thankfully for UNC Vad Lee is gone.
Re: Questions about Liberty?I know S Solomon McGinty quite well from his time here in Navasota....he was/is a quality individual who spoke with the Rattler football team after he graduated, and while recovering from a horrific leg injury. He is long and fast as a defender. We will see a good bit of him on Saturday, especially as he comes up on run support.

Re: Questions about Liberty? Is your QB a runner or more of a typical passer? How are your offensive line and defensive lines? Where would you say the strength in your team is?
