I'm surprised the story didn't include something like "Klemm came to UCLA from SMU, long known as a repeat offender within the realm of shady recruiting tactics. SMU, who served a post season basketball ban, was found to have committed level 1 infractions. SMU officials had no comment on Klemms show cause penalty."

Yes, with the editor coming in and adding the following: "Klemm came to UCLA from SMU, long known as a repeat offender within the realm of shady recruiting tactics. SMU, who served a post season basketball ban, was found to have committed level 1 infractions. SMU officials had no comment on Klemms show cause penalty. SMU'S FOOTBALL PROGRAM INFAMOUSLY RECEIVED THE FIRST EVER DEATH PENALTY FROM THE NCAA."

So did ncaa do a full investigation and determine this was lone incident that the gf happened to know about? And are they questioning what Jim mora knew (i.e. LB). Sure reads like klemm is a rogue assistant who needs to be punished not ucla. They would throw the book at us for this.

I thought the head coach was responsible now even if not directly involved.

I could see leniency if they self reported. They clearly did not, the girlfriend reported it. And ucla coaches are still pleading ignorance as if they didn't know the rules. So his girlfriend knew the rules but he didn't, haha. At least that 5000 fine will show him. Oh wait he makes 750k and 5k makes no difference.

Were any of the recruits in Arizona the ONE we wanted?

There were reasons why he as not promoted to OL coach when he was here and allowed to leave.

Yes, but JasonB likes to take potshots at him and some of the recruits he recruited like Marks at Washington State.

I'll be surprised if somehow the ncaa doesn't find a way to take away a scholarship or two from us since we have such a history....
