Well, I like Hicks going through his progressions and he more often than not finds an open target. Unfortunately, he's less accurate than me. Can accuracy improve enough to become a legit d1 qb?

It's not. Still have recruit better offensive lineman imo. We'll have some better QB's next year.
I concur with this. I see a bunch of athletes on the team, but what I'm not seeing are several kids that look like they can grow into prototype Big XII OLs. I think we will remain on "2 more years" hold until we do.

We have 5 outstanding Offensive Line recruits plus a TE recruit. Most are redshirting. I'm pretty high on all of them. True freshman should rarely play on Offensive Line except in emergencies which may not be far away if we keep getting injuries

Good they are redshirting to get ready for next year. And hopefully they are more athletic and quicker than the offensive lineman we have now. Not that they are totally bad in athleticism and quickness.

We have 1 OL (Ali) committed for 2017 –– granted he looks like a tremendous get. But 1 OL, no matter how good, ain't gonna get it done.
True, but we are recruiting a smaller class numbers-wise this year. A tackle is a priority with one of the last 2/3 or so spots we have left. The offensive line was prioritized last year. I wouldn't be surprised if all of our OL recruits from last year start at some point in their careers. Becker might even eventually fill out and become a tackle. Add in Alan Ali and the future of the OL looks fantastic. I think the staff has done a great job recruiting linemen on both sides of the ball.
We prioritized last year because we knew they likely would redshirt in 2016 and SMU is pointing toward 2017. Its my understanding that one of the few last spots in Class of 2017 is for an OLM.
in 2015 we prioritized skill positions on Offense and Defense because change in formation/alignments with new coaching staff required different types of players at these positions.

I think we will see Ryan Becker turn into a pretty good OT in a year or 2. Those guys out on the edge need to be long armed and quick of feet more than anything (and so, they need to be very athletic with some strength for sure but your OGs are the maulers and if can pull even better).
I know that was the projection with Becker, but he runs really well and has nice hands at TE. He and Rau are a great pair next season.
K Smith can move and has size, he just needs more push, and he will get that in the weight program this year. As good as Pursley is with fundamentals, he is going to get pushed in the spring by K Smith. Natour will move back to guard. But the redshirted frosh are going to push for starting spots across the line.
