Thanks to most of you for the reminder of why I subscribe to two other sites to talk SMU football.

Like Phil Bennett intimated, you need to win some games if you want the big boys to call.

LA - you just don't know much about football. You might be better off watching beach volleyball.

You'd see more endzones if you did

For all is faults, I really appreciate what Matt Davis did for this offense

Hicks missed passes for sure. But the coaches also asked him to throw from the pocket. Last week his best throws were on rollouts, throwing on the run outside the pocket. Only called one of those all night.

I don't understand how condescending some of y'all can be. This is football not rocket science.

We all have eyes and we see the end result. I understand this team has talent, but the offense hasn't come along as I had hoped. We all understand the depth issues, but we didn't score even one touchdown.

I think he raised some good discussion points. As the underdog and with a chance to to score near the end zone on 4th and 1 - I would've tried to score and punch TCU in the mouth. I understand the decision to kick the field goal. I think the team should've absolutely went for it on 4th and 2 instead of kicking a long field goal that was 50/50 at best that our kicker makes.

Hicks just isn't ready. Give it another 12 months frustrating as that may be.

Well his original post was just dumb - so when that happens you will get called out.

Wonder how that kid (QB) is doing his freshman year at Memphis? I'm not sure Chad didn't screw the pooch on the decision to not take the kids re-commitment.

We are not going anywhere without a QB. I hope Chad can hold on to his verbal and get a second commitment this year. I am not sure there is a D-1 QB on the roster.

I can't judge our defense while watching a game, but did we make any adjustments during halftime? TCU's offense figured out what were doing in the first half and then took us out to lunch. Not having any offense in the second half certainly exhausted our defense and deflated their effort, but the first play in the half made us look like our players had cement shoes on.

He had 2 springs and 2 fall practices. He should be more accurate than this. Missing the open passes is what is most frustrating.

Not saying you are wrong but Peavy and M. Davis may have something to say about that next year.

Chad's conservative decisions on multiple 4th downs were mind boggling.
We have nothing to lose this season and we actually had a good home crowd behind the team tonight. Just weird.
