Maybe Chad is spooked by that 2014 OT game vs then #1 FSU. Clemson went for it on fourth and a foot and was stuffed. Next play FSU scores, ballgame.

I hope the offensive line players are better next year.

Not saying you are wrong but Peavy and M. Davis may have something to say about that next year.

I completely agree. If we had Matt Davis I would be far more optimistic about this season. In college football it's incredibly hard to have any degree of success with a subpar QB.

Can we put Freeman at QB and run the triple option?

I have less confidence in this team and program now than ever since CM took over, and it was all based on the HC's decisions.

Eh [deleted] you dude. Attendance was not a problem at all. You need a psych moron

Pony Boss, it makes me throw up to even acknowledge you because you have single handly ruined this site but the fact that you say attendance is not an issue is the reason we are where we are. We are playing our arch rival at home at can't get 25,000 to show up. That is pathetic. And we want to join the big 12 lol. Lastly, we are a basketball school

We're in serious trouble if Hicks is the best we have in 12 month.

Mex! You are so on. Tcu figured it out at half and we looked like Ned in the first grade. We were thoroughly outcoached in the 2nd half and we went from respectable to ...

LA, my $.02

CM is the best thing to happen to SMU FB since Ron Meyer. However, as in life, things rarely go exactly as planned. Biggest disappointment is the inability to find a QB, which is a little surprising given CM's offensive pedigree. We all know it was not due to lack of effort so you really can't blame him. I'm not worried in least about his play calling ability, although I agree I personally would be more aggressive because really, what do you have to lose. I also think it sends a good message to the kids, I believe in you, now go execute.

One last point, if I were to give ANY SMU HC advice based on my almost 50 years of following the Mustangs, it would be this....supplement your team quickly with JC help in areas that need help, specifically OL & DL. Don't rely on doing a 4 year rebuild from scratch, you simply don't have the time.

Sad thing is, the cameras rarely if ever panned over the crowd. I think they must be accustomed to avoiding the crowd shots at Ford.
Last night was not the night to avoid crowd shots. And I saw a lot less purple than I expected.
