Not necessarily, but I can't just ignor it. I probably dig a little deeper to see if there was any merit to the gossip/statements on the walls, but then, I'm not 18...who knows what an 18 year-old would do. Take for instance JT's statement above that maybe we will finally get to a bowl game in the next five years if the recruit comes here and helps. If going to a bowl game is really important to that recruit (and usually it is) that probably gets the recruit thinking "five years?!? I don't want to wait that long". True, JT doesn't know what he is talking about  , but the recruit doesn't know that. Anyway, so much for beating a dead horse.

And no, we do not need to talk to each other as if we want to fistfight...for the most part, the passion on here towards SMU is very intense...
Agreed...very intense.

why don't you make a modest proposal and suggest we eat the poor for food?

I do agree, probably should have used another word instead of gossip, there are a lot of good posts on this board and i did not mean for mine to come across negative.

Ralph, hmmmm..not sure about that one.........

P Player - SMU is a liberal arts college - don't tell me you did not study Jonathan Swift's Modest Proposal which facietously recomended in 1729 that the poor of ireland eat thier own children.

I think the best way would be to start eating the poor whilst preperations were being made to eat ones offspring. Think of it do you want to wait 9 onths and eat a 8 lbs baby or you could have a quick population boom all the while eating the poor, then you have adolescents who are at least 100 lbs feeding more people, so really the wait is worth it.
