As multiple people have alluded to, he had no idea what he was getting himself into at SMU. Probably wishes he was on the sideline last night for that epic Clemson win over Louisville.
Really good coaches adapt and overcome. Others point fingers and make excuses. Jury still out on this one. Took a step backward yesterday, and added a cherry on top with the comments.
Made himself look very weak.
Will someone please get this guy a calendar or show him how to use the one he has?!?

Chad's genius move is the staircased huge decrease in ooc difficulty his first 3 years. 1 win...2wins...3wins!! Look at the improvement! Hah

The last time FBD was negative on a coach it was on Malone. He hasn't said a word since the defense has improved so much. If we had a fan every time footballdad said something incorrect we would be able to fill Ford Stadium every week.

I don 't know why we have to continue to put up with this lostscholarshipfootballdad when he has a personal vendetta against the Head Coach. He's not man enough to come on here and provide context to the facts behind his vendetta so we can't judge the legitimacy. He's been taking shots at SMU coaches (at least 3) based on a personal vendetta. Vote him off the island

This board was pretty rational before the season started with most predicting 2-4 wins, and NOBODY seriously thinking we would beat top 25 Baylor and TCU or Temple.
We won the two games we expected to win, our starting quarterback that could help make up for a weak offensive line is out for the season and we are still sitting where everyone expected us to be at this point with 2 wins. When did the expectations change?

I could not agree more. To paraphrase Dennis Green, we are who we thought we were.

Sanity on PF.com? Surely not. Anyone who thought we were winning more than 4 games this year was an eternal sunshiner. Even with a healthy Davis. Oline play was always going to be an issue, even without the injuries.

Its really tough when any team loses their starting QB and RB for the season during the first game.
How good would BU be if Russell and Linwood were out for the season?
So losing Matt and X is devastating to a team with paper thin talent. Just devastating. To add insult to injury - the backup SR QB (Colter) breaks his hand.
Peruna's Curse is alive and well, boys.

The board is disappointed because the team has taken a step backwards. The team was scoring touchdowns against TCU and Baylor last year. The team couldn't do a thing this year.
And there is also more talent on this team than there was last year. I guess the competitive games last year were completely due to Matt Davis.

Matt Davis won 2 games last year. Total. The OLine has been decimated which makes our running game inexistent and gets our young qb's [deleted] sacked every game at least 4-5 times and hurried, hit at least 10. Matt Davis would get sacked to set us up for 3rd and 18s while Ben H at least tries to throw the ball away and save the sack. Matt Davis would take the snap and immediatly tuck and run after seeing the 1st read was not open...taking a loss of yards most of the time. Oh and lets not get started on Courtland Sutton's route running and dropped passes....he dropped a lot of critical passes that could have become game changing plays.

I would have hoped that Sutton could have caught a 4th TD pass from Hicks-(1 called back). Seemed to lose it in the air near front corner of endzone -but he's caught a lot worse throws before. It was thrown in an area where DB couldn't reach it too. Hicks' Achilles Heel is that he sails passes too high 2-3 times a game but Morris said that on one of his interceptions the receiver ran the wrong route-same thing happened against Liberty I believe. He won't start in 2017 if he can't control those 2-3 sail balls every game

The Hicks and Morris apologist Tulsa vs. SMU, Montgomery vs. Morris, will show who's really making progress. We'll talk next weekend.
