Chad Morris

Lost this game. I've given him a pass in the past for several reasons but no more. When you're the less talented team and you have nothing to lose you're supposed to play free and take chances. Not Chad. He plays uber conservative, but why? We were inside the 20, 3rd down and 6 with under :30 to play and he calls a run play, really? At a school serious about football, that's a fireable offense.

He's not creative with play calling, he shows no faith in the team with play calling. He calls the game scared and you can see it in his eyes. No confidence.

BTW, Hicks played a good game, and so did most of the team. They deserved much better from their HC.

I think he is allowing offensive coordinator to call the plays this year.

i think he ran there since we have thrown twenty gabillion end zone interceptions, and he wants to build some confidence in his QB before he does any further damage.

We practice the endzone fade to Sutton and Honey 200 times a practice. We never throw it in the game. Instead, we run a much more difficult post or slant that almost gets picked every single time. Throw the F***ING FADE! Use your damn size. They out trick themselves.

The fake punt was absurd.4th in 2 in their territory. Just go for it, you have a much better chance. Teams don't peel back for a return to leave space to run a fake in that situation. They are blocking because it is going to be a fair catch or a touchback.

Didn't even mention the fake punt which was ridiculous. We have had the best player on the he field in every game this year, Sutton, we do that b.s.

The radio announcers were saying this is the perfect time to run a fake punt and sure enough they did. Problem is that the Tulsa D must've been just as intuitive.

Still a vast improvement over last week and the fades vs. TCU and Bay

Execution was awful. Slow moving punter and the blockers on that side got no push.

I'd like to know what is innovative, unique, progressive or creative about CM's offense. IMO, his offense and play calling are the complete opposite - ultra conservative and he is scared to take any chances. God forbid if he tries anything outside of the box. And these are mostly all his players and his hand picked QB.

Those weren't fades, passes over the middle and a back shoulder to the outside. No fade. We haven't called a true fade I don't think since Sutton was hurt against North Texas.

While I hate to be an armchair coach, I really thought we made some bad calls on 3rd and shorts....our OLine is beat up don't try to power the ball down the other guy's throats, especially when it hasn't worked previously. Get Braeden out in space with either a sweep, swing pass, etc. You saw how well the swing pass worked to him on 3rd down right before we scored our last TD.

I also really thought we should have gone for it on some 4th and shorts and that fake punt was awful to watch. Agree with LA that HCCM and our OC show little faith in the offense. Hicks is improving so show some more confidence in him.

Also really disappointed by the drops.

Hate to say this, but his offensive play-calling at times does remind me of tiki.

Love me some CM, but bottom line is he considered an offensive guru and on 4th and 3, as such, he has to have a play in place that puts the game in Hick's hands, who was having a career day BTW, and not the punter's.

I see no earnestly to win from our OC/HC. Those last few O-series felt more like teaching moments than serious drives. As a coach, I would have wanted to pull out anything I could to try to get that win and reward my team for their new focus and an apparent good week of practice. You want to show them that if you play the way the coaches are teaching them, success will happen. Was that the best Morris/Craddock had? I hope not. Good gosh, get that man some Red Bull!

Maybe we are playing for 2017... either way, I think Chad should look at himself in the mirror when he complains about his players' competitive drives.
