3 recruiting classes

Re: 3 recruiting classes
I'll sound the alarms if we don't get 4 wins in 2017. For now, we are young and battered. That's life, brush it off, move on, and progress. SMU isn't Houston, Tulsa or Southern Miss that has consistently been a contender in their conference through multiple coaches and waves of recruiting. We have a deeper hole to climb out of.

I say sound the alarms if we don't get to 6 wins and a bowl game next year. With our schedule and now getting some of his recruits some experience last year and this year (and redshirting some guys who should have an immediate impact like Rau, McLaurin, P Jones, Kadarius, Todora, etc.) that should be the expectation IMHO. Mostly just disappointed that we haven't recruited LBs very well, everything else recruiting-wise seems pretty good (getting some good OLs, definitely some good RBs, some good DTs, CBs, now a good QB, etc).

Agreed, given the pathetic OOC cupcake schedule we should be like 8-4 especially with only one class left in jjs years.

Re: 3 recruiting classes
Wonder how much longer Coach Bro has
Re: 3 recruiting classes
that's insane to think chad is on the hot seat.
Re: 3 recruiting classes
I don't know how long it'll take for our football program to, at least, reliably go to bowl games that I don't really care about.
I know that I like how he presents himself as an SMU coach, his energy, his expectations, and the marketing improvements that have changed since he's been the head coach.
I hope his energy doesn't wane after reading some of the trash that I see on this board. It can be pretty demoralizing at times.
I wish some of the folks on this board would calm down. There are a lot of things that are far more important than than college football (and I say that as a highly competitive person who played rugby for more than 10 years)..
Thanks, I'm hopping off my tiny pedestal now.

I don't think he's on the hot seat. Nowhere near it. And nowhere near it for several years.

You think he cares about some crap written on a message board?

If he reads message boards we're in real trouble. It's not my fault he's top10 on coacheshotseat.

Don't go to big program boards
They can be 10-0 and the coach is still an idiot

Most of the complainers were supports of the previous regime and want to rush to every judgment possible on the current staff..

Who is actually complaining except for a guy with zero ties to SMU besides the fact his son got ignored by coaches at one of our camps?

Coach Morris directly? Not sure.
I would think any serious social media campaign would have metrics that track sentiment (particularly from known sources), which would then be relayed to everyone for inspection/learning/etc.

Excluding trolls (http://www.ponyfans.com/phpBB3/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=146638), maybe I just zero-in on those types of remarks, but seems like quite a bit. /shrug
