Sanders Still Committed to UH

Postby Stallion » Sun Jan 08, 2006 3:22 pm

Sanders said his visit to SMU went "pretty well" and he liked to offense SMU runs but he is still committed to UH. He said he will remain committed to UH until he finds something better so it doesn't sound too promising. To underline the academic issues this kid has he is taking another SAT on January 20. Since he is taking visits that means he has already taken it once and was unsatisfied with the results.

He also mentioned that Houston told him he would get major PT early, so that is a major issue here, doesn't look promising...

I can't figure out how Houston can promise early PT. Last I checked you can only play one QB on any play and Sanders has repeatedly said he wants to go to a program that allows him to play QB.

Maybe they promised him they'll bench Kolb.

He is being recruited as an athlete, so they may project him as a receiver or something. Kolb isn't going anywhere.

Kolb is definitely not going to sit. We have a chance with this guy, if he realizes that he will play right away that might sway his decision. At Houston he is going to have to sit for at least one year. Sanders we will let you play QB, and we will give you a fair shot right when you get down here.
