Elijah McQueen snatches victory from the jaws of defeat. Athens scored what appeared to be the winning TD with 36 seconds left but McQueen caught a 37 yard pass in the waning seconds down to the 13 yard line to put Terrell in position for the game winning FG with no time remaining. 27-26 Terrell wins

Lake Travis 68, Lehman 0: Charlie Brewer threw four first-quarter touchdown passes, and the Cavaliers (6-1, 3-0) crushed the Lobos (2-6, 0-4) in Buda.


Brewer connected twice each with Cade Green and Garrett Wilson, and T.J. Simien returned a fumble for another touchdown as Lake Travis jumped out to a 45-0 lead after the opening quarter. It was 52-0 at the half.


“We always want to start fast, no matter who we’re playing,” Brewer said. “We came out and did that.”


Brewer’s four touchdown passes give him 21 for the season and 74 for his career, second of the Cavaliers’ all-time list. He passed older brother Michael (72 TD tosses) with a 49-yard scoring strike to Green.


Lehman’s offense never got into the game. The Lobos managed just two first downs and 30 total yards.


“I thought we flew around on defense and on special teams,” Lake Travis coach Hank Carter said. “We executed well. It was a good night for us.”


Lake Travis pulled its starters after the opening quarter. Backup quarterback Matthew Baldwin rushed for two scores and added a touchdown pass to Carson Pepe for the Cavaliers, who managed 440 yards offense.
