Cincinnati and Houston have every right to be pissed. IMO, both deserved an invite. That said, I think this is much more devastating to Houston. They played all their cards and were the prettiest girl at the dance but still got rejected. Plus, the only way they were gonna get Herman to stick around was by getting into the B12.

Can Houston hold on to Herman this upcoming off-season? You've got to imagine LSU and Texas are hounding him now. Either way, I've never seen a school be able to back-fill top coaching talent with a new wave of young coaches like Houston has. They'll be okay.

At this point they are starting to become like Miami where the program outweighs the coach. They will be ok even if he leaves. Great for them!

they've already replaced Art Briles, Kevin Sumlin and their only real miss was Tony Levine.

They'll be fine.

USC could end up being a player for Herman as well. He'll have lots of options.
