Re: How deep can you bury a story? We didn't even make espn dallas page.
Re: How deep can you bury a story?noticed the same thing! it's ridiculous that there was nothing on ESPN Dallas. Just a single tweet / video on the right-hand side. pathetic.
Cubs securing a WS birth for the first time since the 40s didn't help either.
Re: How deep can you bury a story?Totally understand that there are other stories that trump ours. But no mention on the college football page seems a little crazy.
Re: How deep can you bury a story?About 2am, ESPN was doing a spot on SMU and the take away trash can. Then they highlighted the take aways in the game. At the end, he said, "Houston, they played like garbage right there." I laughed myself to sleep.
Re: How deep can you bury a story?Even with their ranking Houston has gotten zero coverage on ESPN, and as SMU_Alum11 said on another thread the Cubs going to the World Series and the Ohio State upset dominated the headlines.
Re: How deep can you bury a story?Well SMU needs to earn that coverage. Let's go win this Saturday!
Re: How deep can you bury a story? We did get a "wire report" in the Star Telegram - a couple of sentences - page 14.

I don't think that many people even realized we had a game last night. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: How deep can you bury a story?I think ESPN and all sports information networks EXPECTED SMU to beat Houston. That's why the game got few mentions.
