think you're right. If any of those top 4 slide, I think A$M, Ohio State and Louisville are all more likely Final Four picks than any team from the Big XII.

This A&M team you're talking about. Is it the one that lost to Miss State today?

Not any more; they've got about as much chance as the Big XII Champion now

Even though Texas hung on and won today, whorns fans will be all over Strong for late game play calling. Trying to get a critical 1st down to run out the clock, he runs Swoopes twice and fails to convert...instead of going to his workhorse Foreman who finishes just 9 yards short of tying UT's single game rushing record.

TCU up 38-14 on Baylor.

Arkansas up 21-7 on # 11 Florida and wrecking the SEC East's last chance of putting a respectable team in their Championship game

at least my "fall back" team (Clemson...where I sent both my kids) is cruising 37-0 over an improved Syracuse team that was actually 4-4 coming in

Tulsa up 14-0 over ECU in 1st quarter in Tulsa. ECU is a good home team, horrible road team. We really don't need Tulsa to blow them out considering our track record against teams that got blown out the week before playing us

I assume the record is Roosevelt Leaks against SMU. I saw him go for about 330 and would still be running if the end zone had not stopped him.

I said hi and you just ignored me.

I do recall at that game there were several pregnant coeds. We all brought our booze in by having our dates wrap the bottles in towels and such and stuffing them under their clothes to look pregnant

Roosevelt Leaks actually fumbled 3 times in First Half and SMU led at Halftime 14-0-then he got mad

Leaks ran for 342 against us my senior year and that was our Homecoming game as I recall. We were up 14-0 at half and feeling pretty good about our chances. I remember going out to the fratty bus for a cold one at half and by the time we came back into the Cotton Bowl, Texas was well on their way to thrashing us 42-14 with Leaks leading the way.

Texas single game record is held by Ricky Williams who ran for 350 against Iowa State. I think if Strong had given him the 2 carries that Swoopes had and Texas picked up a 1st down, Foreman would be the new record holder
