chalk it up as lopsided defeat # 4 this season. We should be immune to this after 28 years of witnessing these kind of games. It is much tougher to swallow when these blowouts come against mediocre teams

You can blame all of this on Houston. They waltzed into Ford ranked #11 and laid a massive egg which made everyone think we had somehow turned the corner with the exact same players that have been struggling all year.

I went to Ford expecting a close game that we would hopefully come out of as victors, but it was all fools gold. We need talent help in every position, and when good teams play a must win game against us (see Temple & Memphis) and give it their all we are toast.

It's back to reality, and the best we can hope for is a win against ECU because we don't stand a chance against either Navy or South Florida. If we beat ECU we will have 5 wins which EVERYONE would have been thrilled with at the start of the season.

If you have been attending SMU games for as long as I have then you know that things are on track to turn the corner for real. CM is the real deal and we will all be much happier next year.

I agree but would add: "did anyone look at this year's schedule and think we could beat ECU at their place?" We should all be pleased with the 4 wins these guys have produced, but brace ourselves for what might become a November we won't want to remember. Chad's slogan of making this a November to remember might become more of a motivational tool for hard work this off-season because we still have a really tough road game and finish against 2 of the best teams in the AAC
