I thought Burley was a three-star recruit...if so, how does a three star rank behind two two-stars?

this list is done separately by a guy named Jeff Howe who exclusively covers the Central region for Bobby Burton's Texas Prep X-Tra. I was a little surprised too but there were about 5 guys on the honorable mention list who have committed to Division 1A schools some of which are generally rated higher than several on the list who aren't getting a lot of Division 1A offers for whatever reason. The only questions I see about Burley are that he comes from a 2A school and whether he runs closer to 4.69(according to Scout) than 4.5(according to Rivals). I know the Rivals time is unverified-not sure about the Scout time. Some schools might see him as a TE who will need to gain substantial weight. He didn't do too well on the bench press so that might be a work in progress. I hope he really does run more like a 4.6 and we can keep him at WR. Actually, there are two highlite films on Rivals on him but its hard to tell about his speed a) because in half the plays he actually is lined up at HB in a wishbone offense running laterally(really-at 6-5) and b) in the other half he is outjumping poorly thrown balls imitating Roshaun Woods against SMU CBs.It is a little hard to tell because of the level of competition. I'm not sure there was one play where the QB had the arm strength to hit him in stride.

How does Scurry-Rosser even get Burley on the central Texas list? Isn't that somewhere near Kaufman? I'd think he'd be on DFW-area lists, not central Texas lists. I also don't care what list he's on -- I get the impression he's a player, and I want him to be a Mustang!

That is great that we have two committed players in the Top 25.
