I agree. Do not return and kickoff out of bounds. The average kickoff return I am sure is beyond the 35.

This^^^. At least they can't score on the play, and totally demoralize a team that just got back to a one score game, if you kick it out of bounds.

I agree on both counts. It's insane, our would be blockers, look like bullfighters yelling "olay" as coverage players race by.

Penalties on kicks and punts need to be reduced.

Agree, way too many penalties. We don't need 4 star players to have functionable and consistent special teams. In all 9 games, we have been undisciplined and just plain fundamentally poor. It's very concerning and frustrating, that heading into game 10, they are not improving at all.

We need to find Dirty AL Everest. I believe he is now retired but has been a ST coach for a few NFL teams. Former teammate. Knows how to play the game in a way the opposition would fear.

He earned the name Dirty by the hard nosed way he played. His dad was an assistant for Fry at NTSU. Al did ST for New Orleans, St Louis, and Pittsburg when Sanders was there. Also did a stint at USC. Fun guy and intense player. We could sure use him.

Do you think he could convert some of the pacifist we have on the kick return team? LOL

Has anyone noticed RT Chauncy Briggs didn't play? They moved starting RG Jerry Saena to RT, and backup guard Braylon Hyder moved into RG. When C Evan Brown re-injured his ankle, Hyder moved to C and Bryce Wilds went in at RT. Brown returned later in the game. It has to be a little concerning, that RS freshman Wilds, can only get into the game...when there is no one else to put in.

Briggs was hurt. Put a lot of pressure on an already thin line. I am beyond ready for next years OL.

Briggs was hobbling around with a knee brace on the sidelines. Haven't heard whether or not it's a long-term or short-term issue. OL is really banged up, and they are shuffling the deck like mad to keep the thing cobbled together. Wilds is a big body and presumably has a lot of talent, but other than in RARE cases, does anyone really want to see an RS frosh starting on the OL? Current situation puts the spotlight on recruiting a legion of slot receivers over OLs and DLs.
