Texas Football on December 15 said that Daniel Johnson is an academic questionmark and his best hope is to be a late qualifier ie prior to August 1, 2006. Johnson also injured his knee early in the season and only played 1 game this year. The article mentioned his teammate Roberts is visiting SMU but didn't mention if Johnson is visiting SMU. His coach thinks Roberts is not vertically fast enough to play DB but would make an excellent prospect by putting on 20-30 pounds and moving to LB.

Looks like as I suspicioned the listing of Johnson visiting SMU this week was a mistake all along as it was taken off and interest in SMU dropped without a story. They meant to say that his teammate William Roberts will visit this weekend.

I thought the original listing was Russell Roberts.
Are there two guys on the team named Roberts?

I am sure he meant Russell Roberts not William.

I can't find anything to say that Johnson is coming or not coming this weekend.

New report on Rivals confirms our fear, Johnson is infact going to OSU this weekend.

"I leave for OSU on Friday," Johnson said. "I'm very excited about that. The following week I go to Texas A&M and that's going to be it with visits. Those three are my final schools. Everybody else is pretty much out of it."
