Re: FrolingLove the team, hate the fan base. Both Harry and Tom can go.
Re: FrolingDid people think he was a one and done???
Re: FrolingI'm glad I wasn't judged as a future lawyer after my first month. Thank God there weren't blogs and boards watching my every move. Can we remember that these are young men who we are supposed to be grooming and supporting?
Time. Patience. Growth. PonyUp!
Re: FrolingLooked better today. He can flat out pass the ball
Re: FrolingI think he will be one of those guys that improves every year and ends up an all conference type as an upperclassman. I also think he's a lot more comfortable the farther away he is from the basket, but right now we have no choice but to play him in the Tolbert/Kennedy role, even though he'd be more comfortable playing like Ben Moore does. Just an observation after 2 games. I'm not down on him at all, though it's safe to say he's more of a below the rim player than I thought.
Dallas Mavericks - 2011 NBA CHAMPIONS!
Long live the Circle of Champions!
Re: FrolingWe made a little adjustment with him to get him on the high post in the second half and he did much better in the offensive flow. Basically the Ben Moore sport and had Ben get down low to do the dirty work.
Re: FrolingDude will be a player. Him and Tom. Not sure about McDowell. His passing worries me
Re: Froling
A couple of lazy passes on the perimeter is a mistake that pretty much every freshman will make.
Re: FrolingI find it shocking that some of you are overreacting after 1 game. Give me a friken break.
"smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: Froling
I thought the opposite today. The couple of times McDowell brought the ball up he looked very comfortable. I think Froling will be a great player. We're short on true bigs though and he's our best candidate to become our starting #5. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Re: Froling
Agree. Everything else I saw from.McDowell I thought was positive. He was aggresive on some rebounds too. Not saying anything more than I didnt like his passing. Dont overreact.
Re: Froling
I agree. Dashawn got virtually no burn in game one so i look at today as his debut. He threw a lazy pass. Lord knows we've seen them before. He moved he ball well and looked very comfortable doing so. Party at The Wopper!
Re: FrolingYeah, our freshmen looked like Freshmen this weekend. BFD.
A few real flashes in Froling's game on Sunday, I thought. But he's still an 18 year old kid. Patience. Texas bites. Baylor sucks. As it was in the beginning, is now, and evermore shall be. Amen.
Re: FrolingFroling appears to be a better player facing the basket vs back to the basket. The kid definitely needs to step up his motor and be more aggressive on both the offensive and defensive boards. Credit to Coach Jank for changing up how SMU was running their offense against Eastern Michigan. Looked like Coach Jank decided to run the offense through the high post either Ben Moore or Harry Froling. Both guys are good passers. Ben has a higher motor and is definitely more aggressive. Ben is a Senior. We are only two games in...Let's give Froling chance to develop his game and let Coach Jank and staff decide how to best use Froling.
Re: FrolingSunday I attended the game with an SMU grad who was an athletic scholarship to SMU at the time of Koncak. He knew Koncak and said Froling is much further along in ability than Koncak was his freshman year. That is encouraging.
Long live Inez Perez!
