I agree that the Mob seems a little rowdier thus far this year compared to last year. I felt like last year's Mob was too concerned about getting tossed out of the game or too into their phones. Sunday's student crowd was lighter than Friday's, but those that were there were into the game and did a good job of chanting and jeering. I will say they need to really crank it up after the MSG games. CSU Bakersfield and Delaware St probably won't draw the Mob's A game, but come Dec. 7th, the TCU bench needs to hear some sort of witty needling all...night...long.
I do wish the music person would read this board, or at least go to other school's games for comparison. At the very least, take a cue from the Mob when they start in on Seven Nation Army. I don't recall it being played at all on Friday or Sunday, but I may be mistaken. Maybe I'm too old school, but "Thunderstruck" is vastly underused these days. That song builds and gets a crowd going. "Enter Sandman" is another oldie but goodie. Blur's "Song 2". Get a little cheesy with "Sweet Caroline" every now and then. (It's overplayed, yes, but name a stadium anthem that isn't.)
Speaking of music, what happened to T.I.'s "Bring 'Em Out, Bring 'Em Out" when our players are leaving the locker room to head back to the court? It wasn't played on Friday or Sunday (we arrive early so I know I didn't miss it).
I'm looking forward to a full house in Moody, but with Thanksigiving, exams, and holiday break coming up, I think we're going to have to wait until January 2017 to really get a feel for the Moody Magic this year.
