Baylor will not be the only school inquiring, or IMO, offering.

Would it be any harder at Baylor than it has at SMU is the real question. Even with the given circumstances that will blow over I think it's easier at Baylor
Can't see Herman going to Baylor now. He turned down jobs with better prospects last year (like USCe) than the current Baylor situation. While USCe is in a down level, if their coach pans out, they are currently at the bottom of their path.
Meanwhile Baylor has no real recruiting class for 2017. Look for more current players to transfer out at the end of season. And there's also the possibility (although unlikely with the spineless NCAA) of sanctions.
Herman will be offered better jobs than Baylor this off season. If he leaves, he would be a fool to leave for Baylor.
Chandler Morris is set up perfectly at Highland Park to get a great education at a top flight well coached 5A school in LaLa land. Think I'm kiddin'-Chandler just put out his first long video on hudl showing his highlites running the HP freshman team-he's damn good too-34 TDs-see below. He's extremely polished-and throwing 50 yard TD passes as a high school freshman. Check out his footwork. He's a better polished QB right now than many Seniors competing in playoffs.
I'm telling you guys right now that Chandler Morris is a Division 1-A prospect
There is no duplicate situation in Waco. A private school with lower quality football program or an educationally inferior public school-well below HP's educational standards
An up and comer like HCCM would want a 10 year guaranteed deal at around the $3 million per year level to risk his career on BU. He would want to know he is set for life if the BU thing is worse than it appears. A retread coach like a Les Miles ( who is already rich) might take a shorter term 5 year deal at $3 million per to take on the BU situation.
Then there is the "run of the mill " coach who would jump at BU to garner a big pay raise. But BU would languish with this type of hire.
I don't see BU making a 10 year offer - I don't think they have donor support to fund this. They also are still funding the CAB buyout ( $20 mil+). So, I can see a 5 year deal but it's a coin toss if they can get a quality coach to take on that mess. My bet is they land a run of the mill coach on a 5 year deal at $2 million per.

Seems like everyone thinks CM will leave one day and maybe soon. No one knows if this will ever happen as Morris has never hinted at such a thing nor would he. This may be where he wants to live and coach for the rest of his life. He loves Dallas. Bigger isn't always better as Strong and others have found. Morris could follow Patterson's lead and choose to stay here and make us a power. And that could easily lead to getting into a bigger conference down the road. To assume he will leave is only our thoughts and maybe not his.
