I admit I was wrongStrong is out at Texas. Really thought they would wait one more year.

The look on the man's face is just rough. He knew exactly what that loss meant. Some rise by sin, and some by virtue fall
Re: I admit I was wrongTexas is the lowest of the low. Strong never had a chance, and the reporter that asked him about his future should be tarred and feathered. Texas has some nasty karma coming it's way - and they've earned it.
Re: I admit I was wrong
I agree Texas sucks - but Strong "never had a chance"???? He lost to TCU by about 50 last year and was shutout by ISU. Now he's lost to KU???
Re: I admit I was wrongI did not see Kansas coming in my belief he would survive this year.

Re: I admit I was wrongI meant from some of their "big money" supporters not necessarily on the football field.
Re: I admit I was wrong
I did too... Until last night Beat the hell out of anybody!
Re: I admit I was wrongMaybe his players will go out there and win one for the Chuckster on Friday.

What - are you saying they're racists? If you are, please know the race card is SOOooo worn out these days, it's pathetic.
Re: I admit I was wrongHe's done and everyone knows it. From the time I 1st became aware of him when he was DC at South Carolina, I've always thought he was a class act so I don't worry about him at all...especially with the severance package he'll take with him. I do wonder if his next job will be as a DC or whether he will regroup and want another HC opportunity. If so, I'm pretty sure one will come his way in the not too distant future.
Re: I admit I was wrongHe was very successful as head coach at Louisville. I have no doubt he will get other opportunities as head coach.
Re: I admit I was wrongSteve Campbell has Central Arkansas on the uptick but I wonder if somewhere down the road Charlie might end up coaching his alma mater. Always wonder about someone who has coached at the highest levels and them experiences failure...really for the 1st time in his coaching career.
I think there were a lot of people who wanted Charlie to succeed and were willing to give him another year but he obvioulsly needed to beat Kansas, get some redemption against TCU and probably win a bowl game to get another year. Texas will need to move quickly to make sure they salvage their roster and recruiting class...and then we will see if the new guy wins the 10 games Charlie promised for next year
Re: I admit I was wrong
Nope, not at all, those fools thought they had Coach Saban in the bag. Then they had to settle for Strong and they resented it from day one. Remember I'm half Bamer, too.
Re: I admit I was wrong
I think you are right and those same fools will back the money truck up to Herman's door. This could be a good opportunity for him just as coming into Houston was. Herman knows he is losing his QB at Houston after this season and would inherit a ton of talent and definite recruiting advantages at Texas so I will be surprised if they don't land him for this job. And as an added bonus...Herman has demonstrated his teams can beat OU
