100% I now believe it was all for show. Which really pisses me off, because it is an incredibly worthy cause that deserves more than being used as job leverage.

Are you all really that naïve to think Chad drummed up the anti domestic violence bit to get Baylor to hire him? Did Baylor think he was pro-rape before the teal game? Quit being butthurt and be thankful that he succeeded enough here to warrant being promoted to a P5 gig. When you are a coach at a small private G5 school with 10k at a game and not getting some of the stuff that you were promised when you were hired why would you leave? I don't know if the IPF is RGT or oil prices fault but the realty is he was basically promised it and didn't get it. We are not a final destination for any coach that wants to coach at the highest level.
SMU Baylor $$$ $$$$ G5 P5 10k per game 45k per game No IPF IPF No Brainer.

I do not think he did it to get Baylor's attention. If true, the deal has already been made. I think he did it to show the fan base of Baylor and the Feds that he is committed to the cause. There is still a lot to come down at Baylor.

I may have missed the memo but how do we even know it was his idea? Did he say that he came up with it?

To me it just seemed like a Chad deal and it just kind of came out of nowhere in the past couple months. Maybe I am wrong. I have heard on this site people can be wrong.

I have friends in low places.
But seriously I thought it was Chad's idea and the timing seemed right due to the Baylor situation. And now it just seems as if it was done as a message to the Baylor faithful and those that will be prosecuting.

It was his idea and it was a very recent development. I think it was done for the reason Dan mentioned. Chad called Baylor noting his interest far before he came up with the ideal for the real game. Call me sour grapes but I think it's really distasteful and he really put mud on the face of an advocacy group I care deeply about by pretending to be a friend.

I am sure he will still support the group if he goes to Baylor or if he stays at SMU.
