c-usafan's post mentions a Tulane offer .... does he have a Tulsa offer, too?

Hernandez was an amazing american football kicker, but he was also the NCAA player of the year in soccer. Great athlete. Too bad Schellas made him choose one or the other... but your not gonna' win the Heisman at the kicker position.

The kid is an all american in soccer...I am sure that Schellas could find a spot for him if he would commit just to play soccer.

Think you have Daniel Hernandez's accomplishments mixed with Luchi Gonzalez. Luchi won the Hermann (NCAA Player of the Year) Trophy in 2001. Daniel was first team All American but Wojtek Krakowiak of Clemson won the Hermann in 1998.

I think we're saying the same thing. Schnellas would not tolerate a guy no matter how good he is, just dabbling in soccer. We have too solid a program for that. My concern is that he will go to a school with a mediocre soccer program where he can be the star of the soccer team while playing football at the same time.

Let's give Coach Schnellas some credit for picking talent. If he was good enough to play Final 4 soccer, Schnellas would be all over him.

Back to FB...

Our roster shows 4 kicker and/or punters who are FR & SO. With all our needs & when you only have 13 schol., you want to burn 1 for another FR kicker?

You're right.

Anyone know when Thevenot plans to make a decision?
