I think Morris has a much better chance of getting the HC job at Aggie if he stays the course at SMU.

Unless of course TAMU fires Sumlin after LSU,
and even then, I suppose he has a chance.
But much better chance if he were to take SMU to new heights next season.

He should take the SMU raise that is on the table and keep his eye on the big prize, Aggie

There is no guarantee that the Aggies would hire Morris if they ever fire Sumlin.

No guarantee, but he has a helluva lot better chance if he gets SMU to 9 or 10 wins next year, than what will most likely by
a mediocre to bad record at Baylor.

...And also consider this. Even IF, and big IF, he has success at Baylor before the TAMU job opens up, The Aggies will take a dim view of him jumping over to Rapist University and bailing on SMU.
They have an honor code that they take seriously, and IMO, Morris will be tainted to them.

No guarantee that Sumlin gets fired next year. Your twin brother might be trying to comfort you in a potential time of loss. I understand. If Morris is making 5 mil a year with support from The Baylor administration he may be comfortable there anyway.

and please don't pretend to know my brother, you have no idea, he and I talk sports all day everyday. This has
a lot of importance to him, as he is not a big Sumlin fan. He would love to have Morris.

Don't condemn the coach until there is a result. Morris told the players he wasn't going anywhere.

Rebel, I think the smoke is thick enough that if he DOES end up going to Baylor, this deal was in place a long time ago. Back in September. So the whole game promoting the charity would be just a bit to give him reputation as cracking down before going to Baylor. That is kind of shady. Plus they aren't going to let him bring his staff, so he would mess a lot of his staff over. And he would have lied to players. IF he does go, it doesn't look good on him and doesn't reflect the image he has been projecting. That is the biggest problem I have with it, IF he goes. But I don't think he will.
