The Sterling Brown and Ben Moore Appreciation ThreadStarting this now to perhaps shift the conversation away from yet another piece of bad news.
Among all of the chatter over recruiting, transfers, roster attrition since 2013: Mudiay, J. Martin, Bruno, Kapita, Sed, Keith, now Froling, here we have two seniors who were recruited to SMU before this all got going and took a chance on us as much or more than SMU took a chance on them. As a fan I am so grateful for guys like Ben and Sterling and how well they have represented SMU: No eligibility or major off the court problems - Ben is a respectable student in the classroom from what I gather Selflessness on and off the court - Sterling described as the "glue guy" It certainly helps that both were key parts of the rotation from day one, but I hope they are recognized for their legacy on Senior day in March. They both stayed 4 years. They are really the first senior class in this era (including Nic and MK) that only knows winning at SMU and there is something to be said for that. Regardless of how this season plays out, make March 4th at Moody a priority. Pony Up.
Re: The Sterling Brown and Ben Moore Appreciation ThreadAmen!! We need to show both those guys serious love throughout the season and on Senior Day.

Re: The Sterling Brown and Ben Moore Appreciation ThreadGreat post. I will add, Sterling adds a certain gritty toughness that I wish would rub off on our "acting like little girls", "sky is falling " fans - many of which post on this board.
Re: The Sterling Brown and Ben Moore Appreciation ThreadThis is on point!
Re: The Sterling Brown and Ben Moore Appreciation ThreadI'm as proud of these guys as I was of Nick, Tolbert and Marcus. I'm proud of how they play and how they represent the University as a whole. Men of character, promise and of future success.
Thank you for shifting the narrative today from negativity to where it should be, "let's go have some fun and what happens, happens!"
Re: The Sterling Brown and Ben Moore Appreciation ThreadI have BM jersey from his fresh year (before the 00), hard worker, great young man. SB plays tough every game, he always gives us 100%. Both players are underrated and underappreciated in general. I see both of them as defining our program as much as NM did.
Re: The Sterling Brown and Ben Moore Appreciation ThreadAbsolute warriors. Those guys have been our glue for 4 years. They both play hard and do everything well. Studs!

Re: The Sterling Brown and Ben Moore Appreciation ThreadWe are REALLY going to miss these guys next year
Re: The Sterling Brown and Ben Moore Appreciation ThreadGreat post. The heart and soul of the team for four years.
Thank you guys. Party at The Wopper!
Re: The Sterling Brown and Ben Moore Appreciation ThreadThey still have a big opportunity in front of them this season. More minutes now. Would love to see them and the team earn a bid.

Re: The Sterling Brown and Ben Moore Appreciation Threadbump.
Two high level players who have represented our university very well. Never made waves and just worked their butts off. I have no idea how this season will end up but one thing is for sure, SMU fans better show a lot of love on Senior Night. SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs
Re: The Sterling Brown and Ben Moore Appreciation ThreadThanks for bumping.
More transfer news, more roster attrition. I remain excited about the future but it will be weird when we open the 2017-2018 season and Ben and Sterling aren't there. These two, along with Wilfong, are the last link we have to the 2013-14 team and the season that rocketed this program to national relevance. I remember coming home from Garland having watched that team massacre Rhode Island thinking, "this is the best SMU team I have ever seen." Ben and Sterling were major contributors as freshmen and it's crazy to remember how deep that team was.
Re: The Sterling Brown and Ben Moore Appreciation Thread
It will be tough for SMU fans watching next year's team without Sterling & Ben, just as it has been watching this year's team without Little Nic but the rest of the AAC will think "those guys are finally gone!"
