Potential and 3 cups of epson salt will keep mosquitoes away. If you're all that you play plain and simple.

Cort wrote:Regardless of what y'all say. Harry had great potential. Saw him work in the post a few times, had the footwork and definitely had the size. Also was impressed with his shot. There is some blame to go all around - run a pick and pop for him more often. Get him that jumper he looks for, post him up. He got the ball in the post all but 5 times this year. That's why he was so timid, he got blocked from behind on his lay-up attempt and played timid the rest of the year because they never gave him an option to succeed. You never know what is happening in practice either, maybe he was dogging it or getting yammed on every day.
And the fans....Shame on us [including me]. He started getting cheered sarcastically like he was the towel boy getting his first rebound.
But the blame equally on him. He did not come into the season in good shape. Looked like he was a step slower then the rest of them. That's probably why he didn't get the opportunity he was looking for. Can't come into a team full of 3rd and 4th year guys and expect to be the guy. Unrealistic Expectations for yet another high-profile athlete.
Wish him the Best

You know, transferring at mid season doesn't make much sense... unless you want to go home and go pro like his sister. He could just miss australia, and wanted to bail on college.
Hopefully he studied before the transfer...

Harry Froling leaving SMU, disappointed in role 2:09 PM AST Associated Press
DALLAS -- SMU freshman Harry Froling of Australia is leaving the program and expressing disappointment over his role under new coach Tim Jankovich.
Froling said Monday it was a "big sacrifice" to leave his home country to play for the Mustangs and the change has been difficult. The 6-foot-11 forward said he was "going to look at all of my options collegiately and professionally back home." .
That stack of options will be no higher than his vertical. What a maroon.

Simply put, the kid was out of shape and had unrealistic expectations. But there is plenty of blame to go around. Sarcastically cheering when the kid gets a rebound doesn't put any confidence in the kids head. Secondly, give him more than 5 chances in the post to do his thing. Remember, he committed when Larry was the HC who seems to be more active with his bigs than Jank. He didn't like the fit, better for him now than at the end of the year. Hopefully some grad transfer/recruit sees the void and comes to the Hilltop.

except for Janks nine game win streak last year - we don't really know how he is with a post, since he has never had one. Semi is close, but frankly better than a post, and Harry thought he was Dirk.
I think it is natural for a fan base that knows a bit about basketball to be disappointed for the team and for Harry to have him come in here, get real minutes, show at least some potential and then quit. Its just a stupid thing to do and people will quite naturally call him on it.
If a guy that showed his kind of talent can go pro in Australia than that must be some terrible basketball, and might explain why he was dejected to be here getting schooled by Delaware state.

While it's really hard to let three 12-ounce beers go stale at my house. I can tell you this concoction works for about 90 days

I am pretty certain it was Larry's offense Jank was running during the 9 game streak last year when Tolbert got averaged 17 dunks per game. But even then, all of our posts were predominately Markus.
