Re: OFFICIAL GAME 12/13 THREAD: Stanford/Albany vs. SMUI hope the crowd really shows up and is ready to be loud for Monday. Stanford is a BIG game. The student section won't be that big because winter break.

I gotta stop doing these while I'm on work calls. I promise my attention to detail is better than it's showing. Truly ridiculous that I make these mistakes every time. My apologies "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: OFFICIAL GAME 12/13 THREAD: Stanford/Albany vs. SMU
How is 96pts/100 defensive possessions ranked 49th and 96.3pts/100 defensive possessions is ranked 26th? Am I missing something?

An object at rest cannot be stopped!
Re: OFFICIAL GAME 12/13 THREAD: Stanford/Albany vs. SMUWhat to watch for:
Watch our motion, rub and roll offense as it tries to isolate individual players and give them space to create their shot. I expect there will be a lot of trial and error at the beginning of the game, and then the team will figure out who the worst defensive player is and the isolate against him the rest of the game, switching the point of the attack to whomever is guarding that player. Another thing to watch is when the other team plays zone. Froling was becoming a center point of the zone attack by using his size and passing ability at the free throw line. Moore is really the only player who can do that now, and isn't as big. That positioning is important because not only does it facilitate better movement of the ball, but it also opens the baseline for the backdoor lob. Key component of the anti-zone offense we have run for years, and a major reason teams tried to not run zone against us. I am interested to see if we struggle against the zone without that passing ability, or if the zone makes the rub and roll that much more effective because there won't be as much help. Finally, defensively, I suspect that if we start to get beat up inside, we will make two adjustments: First, we will go zone in order to help in the middle and force the ball to the outside with a bad shooting team from deep. Second, we will go a full court or 3/4 court zone press and then back into the zone in order to force them to eat up more time before getting in the front court,, giving them less time to tear apart the zone.

93.6, not 96.3[/quote] Well that explains it. Sad that I looked at it about 4 times before I posted too.
