Re: Sed BarefieldIf LB didn't like the kid then why did he recruit him? He knew what he was getting.
Re: Sed Barefieldbrown wasn't some integral part of early evaluation. He came in later and approved or disapproved. He didn't get many good looks at Sed and its caused problems between LB and KT later, see Carsen Edwards and Eric Curry
Re: Sed Barefield
Wilson off the bench, Keith starting. Kapita/ Bruno at 4/5 and Harry at 3
Re: Sed BarefieldAll members of the WDNWHA Conference.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Sed Barefield
All Conference! Party at The Wopper!
Re: Sed BarefieldRGV,
You're right about KF. I forgot about him. And positions are meaningless at SMU, we just roll out 5 who can play anywhere. SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs
Re: Sed BarefieldSed must have read this thread and tried to play some D and distribute last night in Utah's 14 point win against Hawaii. Scored only 4 points on 2-5 shooting but contributed 1 assist before fouling out in 17 minutes
Re: Sed BarefieldHas he already played more minutes than when he was at SMU last year?
Peruna is my mascot!
Re: Sed BarefieldThe jury is still out on Sed I'd say see how he progresses the rest of this season. After all he's basically still a freshman on the court. Be that as it may 35 pts in a D1 game is still 35pts.
Re: Sed BarefieldPG fouled out in 17 minutes?
Almost Clayton Korver* territory *aka the Greatest Fouler in SMU Basketball History "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Sed Barefield
But "The Animal" sure was a crowd pleaser. Will always remember the game he played against Nebraska in Moody and those wild swinging elbows. Good thing he doesn't play in this era.
Re: Sed BarefieldMy only point in any of this, wasn't to demean Sed, but point out why brown wasn't into his style, 35 pts is serious, especially as a frosh, but if you listened to the UTah coach post game, he killed Sed. Said it wasnt an acceptable stat line, mentions D etc. That's the stuff that Brown couldn't handle
Re: Sed BarefieldSed started and was 1-5 with 5 points, 3-5 on free throws, 0-3 for 3, 0 assists and had 4 fouls in a win against SFA
