After watching this kid play, he just doesn't look the part of a D1 player to me.
He immediately stood out as someone who wasn't ready to be on the court with his ex teammates.
I hope he develops & turns into a solid player elsewhere, but leaving SMU was a good thing for this program, and a good thing for T W.

Sorta like when an employee tells the boss he/she has an offer at another company that supposedly is better. The boss has the choice of sweetening the pot or letting the employee walk.

In our case, with limited schollies, the coaches let the players walk and didn't want to offer more playing time. Plus, we can't afford to miss on recruits, and the two who just walked had bust written all over them.

Has anyone posted anything about the possible return of Courtland? If so I missed it. I hate that Wilson is gone if for no other reason than we need bodies for practice scrimmages. In retrospect, it appeared that the coaches probably knew that Wilson was leaving at least a couple of games ago.

As good as the starters are, and they're very good, Jank should get AAC Coach of the Year votes for every game won. Fielding a competitive team or even running a practice with basically 2 subs is nearly impossible.

Hard to see how lack of depth doesn't catch up to us in February......don't even want to think of a physical game and we get into foul trouble.......like against Cincinnati.

Have to agree....Austrialian experiment...fail.

I've watched other teams with Australian players on them and I haven't been impressed with any of them. Our leading prep academy here in Indiana has one who's 6'11" dude can't move toilet paper.

Probably because the toilet water swirl flushes in the opposite direction in Australia.

St. Mary's has done well with Aussies so difficult to paint with broad brush. Didn't work out based on philosophy however at other schools they may do okay, we'll just have to see.

Tom Wilson was pathetic. He was definitely not ready for any action in a Division-1 College Basketball Game. I am pretty sure that we have gotten better minutes out of Wilfong over the past few seasons. Tom Wilson did not have the confidence or handles that were advertised before arriving at SMU. Honestly I did not see any PG skills. What a waste of a scholarship.

You're both wrong 100% but I understand the sentiment.

I really hope gostangs is not saying Wilfong is better than Wilson, especially by a ton. If so, I have to disregard all of his Bball opinions from now on.

And to Wild Mustang, Wilson was not pathetic. Come on, he is a talented player. Never was given a chance, and it was probably the best for our program and him. It just didn't work here. Not his fault.

So far this year wilfong is .4 to .3 TO/Pts.

I know he's a crowd favorite cause he's white, but:
