Caught third most catches in Texas High School History at tiny private school Tyler Gorman-the problem is he doesn't run anything close to a 4.5. In fact, he ran a 4.92 Forty and in this case his track times below seem to confirm that to be a weakness. Needs to get with a speed coach and private trainer to improve speed/foot coordination unless he grows into a TE which actually is possible because he has broad shoulders with plenty of room for growth. He's outstanding in the air with a broad catch radius though. He was committed to Navy for awhile and did get some quality early offers. Work in progress

I stand corrected ... and now I can't find the site where I got those numbers. Thanks, Stallion

In his hudl highlight films, he made a lot of big plays against defenders who were so overmatched that they might as well have been on the sidelines.

It will be interesting to see how he does after better coaching and a quality S&C program. #potential

What was Courtland's 40 in HS? He was recruited as a safety most places. Not saying that he's our next Courtland (Stallion makes all the relevant points about possible best fit at TE, how to best improve his speed, etc), but just sayin' is all I'm sayin'.

It looks like he has sure hands. I hope he gets his speed better. I think our staff will be able to help with that. Glad he is a mustang.

His 200 time is 1 24.26a PR Apr 18 TAPPS 4A District 2 Championships. Courtland's was 22.83a PR Apr 10 UIL 4A District 18 T&F Championships.

For someone his height, 24.26 shouldn't happen. It tells me he probably has bad technique and probably needs to develop his leg muscles--squats and Romanian deadlifts.

The coaching and S&C programs at Catholic Schools like Bell's can be very low because very few kids go to schools like that because they want to play Bigtime Football. Hopefully, with a proper diet and S&C program, he can pick up the pace a bit.
