OFFICIAL GAME 24 THREAD: SMU vs. Tulsa

This one's gonna be tougher than I thought about it a couple of weeks ago. Two tough ones we can't look past leading up to Cincy. One game at a time indeed.

Tulsa is going to be a tricky game. We're definitely more talented than they are. But they do seem to play well at home, and play a really deep bench and they lead the conference in free through percentage and go to the line a ton so they're going to try to get us and foul trouble.

As long as we don't get it really bad foul trouble I think we win by about 7-10.

This team continues to surprise me (in a good way). Every time I think we're going to have a nail biter because of fatigue, injuries, or foul trouble, they win going away. Of course a lot of those have been in the friendly confines of Moody, but I hope the streak continues at Tulsa and Temple. Should set up an awesome game against Cinci back at home.

I really wish Jank would have gotten the starters more rest in the ECU game, but I trust he totally knows what he's doing. In my mind Wilfong and Leo could have easily played 8ish minutes each in the 2nd half without much of a fall off while protecting a 40 point lead.

Wavering on whether or not to drive up for the game. I think I have to speak at a seminar tomorrow which would make my decision, but if I do not have to I might shoot up the road.

actually Big Leo has scored 8 points (50% Shooter) in 20 minutes of playing time. I think the guy has some potential. Very nice looking shot the other nite-and on several other occasions. For a big kid he has some decent coordination. Not sure if he'll be satisfied with playing time at SMU but I think the kid could play- somewhere or some where- down the line

I watched Tulsa play Wichita St and SDSUearlier in the season and they really weren't competitive in either game. I came away very unimpressed with them. I can't believe they played Cincinnati so close.

Teams evolve. Look how we played during out of conference v. AAC.

True but I saw nothing from them that gave me any reason to believe they'd be in the top five of our conference. They followed up that SDSU blowout loss by getting pounded by Illinois St.
