I'm all about this. But I already know you will give us a nobody game over winter break! I'll take it! We have the alumni band, why not the alumni mob!

These crazy kids don't remember that ALL those bleachers seats surrounding the Court on the lower level used to be filled to the brim with students-and when they were filled they used to allow students to sit on the floor filling up the aisles. Then the fire marshal started to outlaw it. Go look at the picture on east end of Moody concourse-those were all students sitting Court side and there was no preferred alumni seating in lower bowl. Also no chair-backs-there was bleacher student seating surrounded the entirety of the lower bowl.

and I remember times when we stood the entire game. Putting 10k or more in Moody meant it was a big game

yeah Moody lost some magic when they began to sell preferred seating in the 1980s
seating wise it was pretty much like its "sister arena" Cameron at Duke-isn't that still all students courtside

I've been in both. Cameron Indoor is the same as the original Moody and has never been changed. Back in late 80's early 90's there was a movement to raise the roof and expand the arena, but Coach K said "no way"

Actually this might get national coverage if it was a good enough opponent.

Not sure if that is a good thing when it seems like almost every game you see on TV over the holidays has a band, cheerleaders, poms, and students in attendance.
