They got smoked by Michigan, lost to Boise State and I guess the loss at USC is okay but they pulled out a win vs. Pitt and looked awful vs a bad cal state team. This is not a knock your socks off kind of team, Uconn just plays scared against them. NO, smu is not amazing or even very good, it is just that uconn is bad this year...kind of really bad. They have potential but no, they are bad."
Are these guys clueless? Considering our roster and flow completely changed after those losses, apparently one of our best teams ever is not very good. It's UCONN that is really bad this year...that's why they aren't competing with us...Excuse me sir, what happened the last 9 times we have played you? We have won 7 of them by an average of 20+ points. Guess we aren't that good though
Please Jank...run up the score. Big.
I joined the Boneyard specifically to respond to this post. Was going to do it in a civil manner too. SMH man.

No. 17 SMU (24–4) at UConn (14–13) Saturday, Noon, CBS The Huskies appeared to be surging while winning seven out of eight games, but those wins came against the bottom of the conference. They built a 10-point lead at SMU [WTF] on the road Wednesday night but collapsed in the second half to lose by five. I don’t think UConn is a tournament team, but I do believe they have one marquee win in them, and this is the one. UConn 76, SMU 73 per Seth Davis http://www.si.com/college-basketball/20 ... e-syracusehttps://twitter.com/HAKaufman/status/835216855086280704

Well since Seth was wrong on who they played Wednesday, I will assume he is wrong on the outcome tomorrow.

Another of the games I hate. As only winning the AAC tourney will get UConn into the tournament, I will be cheering for SMU to win this one. Go Mustangs!

They have selective memory. They claim that aside from beating them in the conference tournament finals, we haven't won there which of course is untrue. One of our biggest accomplishments early on in this turnaround was sweeping the season series in 2013-14, the year they won the national championship. I remember it was an odd year as most of the top 5 teams in the conference that season swept and were swept by another top 5 finisher. We swept UCONN and were swept by Louisville. Memphis swept Louisville and was swept by UCONN and Cincinnati. UCONN swept Memphis but was swept by SMU and Louisville. Louisville swept SMU and UCONN but were swept by Memphis. Cincinnati swept Memphis and avoided a sweep.

I enjoy reading the delusions over at the boneyard but hopefully their players think the same thing. I like that a "top-tier" program brags about winning at home 2 years in a row yet never beat us at Moody. We beat them there in 2013-2014 regular season and won in the AAC tourney in their home stadium in '15. Our lowest margin of victory is 9 points. Hey if they don't want to respect us that's fine, we only really respect Cincy as they are only ones like us that consistently perform each year.

Just in case they try to dispute that too: http://smumustangs.com/news/2014/2/23/S ... 64_55.aspxA game they never had a single lead in.

Fine, so after we win, he better move us up even further in his AP poll.
I miss Troy Matthews.
