What a fun groupRarely have I seen a better group of guys bonded together. And rarely have I planned my entire Fall and Winter around every game.

Re: What a fun groupI have been watching SMU basketball a long, long time. I have never seen us more talented and better coached. When we need a critical basket, we're not just looking for one certain guy to score. Anyone of them can score. They play as a team and are a real pleasure to watch.
Re: What a fun groupI'm not making excuses for Sterling but the tech was bs. The refs were looking for anyway to keep that game competitive. If Sterling doesn't get that tech, they would've hit Semi with one a few minutes later when he fell to the floor after the call on him, which was not a foul.
On the rare occasion Sterling has gotten a dumb tech, or the ejection last year against Cincy, but I would never want him to change that fire or attitude/toughness. The bulldog is going to get in a little trouble every now and then but that's okay. Never change, Sterling. SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four

Re: What a fun groupWell I hope you b****** all have your airfare for the battle 4 Atlantis paid for and booked.

Re: What a fun groupCanceled my reservation at the rui
I'm thinking 3 bedroom 2 bath Villa on the East End of the island with its own pool you can snorkel dive fish right off the porch. Bachelor week. Two grand for the week not much on a great spot split with 3 Guys is like Motel 6 money
Re: What a fun groupIs this team better than last year's? Shake and Jarrey are a lot better. Sterling has a complete game, all around. Ben Moore is still a rock. Ben E is back and better than he was two seasons ago. And we have a legit AAC conference POY candidate again with Semi.
Tolbert was a force inside. And Nic was always Nic. MK5 wasn't himself from two years ago, though. Derail the Frogs!
Re: What a fun groupThis team is fun. As in more fun then just about any team i have ever seen in SMU uniforms.
I love Sterlings "street". Our school badly needs that in this sport. It is rarely if ever won by choir boys. Bring it Mustangs. Pedal down for many more games. You can sleep when you are done.
Re: What a fun group
I was just discussing this with two pony friends of mine. I say they are. Both teams are great obviously, but this group just seems to mesh and fit together so well. Also, I feel we have more guys on this team that can pick up the slack when our star isn't smoking hot. This team is also better defensively. Not that it really matters, because they both were great teams. I do think if we had been eligible for the tourney last year and Semi had played on last year's team it would have been unreal! I really loves this group. So much fun to watch and cheer for.
Re: What a fun groupAnd none of this kind of BS......

Re: What a fun groupI've said it before....our team is like the energizer bunny....they never quit. Yes, they are so much fun to watch.
Re: What a fun group
From an efficiency/statistical standpoint, this year's team is better (19 in offensive and defensive efficiency), versus, last year's team (12 in off, 45 in def) Offense: 16-17, 118 points per 100 possessions / 15-16, 118.1 Defense: 16-17, give up 94.1 points per 100 possessions / 15-16, 96.2 I guess you'd also have to factor in quality of opponents too, as media folks have said that cbb is down this year.
