A tribute to our Chicago connection Ben Moore and SterlingThese guys were the foundation of Coach Brown's first full class after having been here a year. They had Power 5 offers but decided to come to SMU. They put their hard hats on, clocked in to work everyday on time and brought their lunch pals. Both being hard workers that got the job done and did the little things that at times go unnoticed as well as the big things that do get noticed. Both smart players that helped propel SMU basketball to where it is now. Both having earned the well deserved honor of being the winningest class in SMU history. Thanks Sterling and Ben for coming to SMU as we see your last game at Moody this Saturday at Senior Day. We wish you the best in your careers wherever they may take you. You guys will always be remembered at SMU.

Re: A Tribute to our Chicago connnection Ben Moore and SterlAmen to that! Job well done lads
Long live Inez Perez!
Re: A Tribute to our Chicago connnection Ben Moore and SterlPeople are always gonna love Nic but it's hard to argue Ben and Sterling are not the poster boys for the foundation of the new era of SMU basketball.
Saturday is gonna be special. Shake It Off Moody
Re: A Tribute to our Chicago connnection Ben Moore and SterlWe very much need some grit on this team after these two leave, especially Sterling. Gotta get some attitude to win at this level.
Re: A Tribute to our Chicago connnection Ben Moore and SterlBoth guys are amazing. I think sterling will make an NBA roster, Ben can play professionally but not sure if he can do it in the NBA. He is athletic and long enough he just not sure he has the offensive game.
SMU ledgens both. Hope they cap it off with a final four. Last edited by Pony_Law on Fri Mar 03, 2017 12:03 am, edited 1 time in total.
Re: A Tribute to our Chicago connection Ben Moore and Sterlii really liked the mental and physical toughness that they added to the team.

Re: A Tribute to our Chicago connection Ben Moore and SterliAbsolute warriors. Love those guys. Will really miss them, but we have some unfinished business before they leave. They are the foundations of this amazing program which has risen from the ashes and we will always be indebted to them.
Re: A tribute to our Chicago connection Ben Moore and Sterli
I love his quickness and handles. That cross over drive last night, yeesh. Wish he had redone his shot mechanics at some point
Re: A tribute to our Chicago connection Ben Moore and SterliI think Ben Moore can be a Quinton Ross in the NBA. I know Quinton was a scorer in college but that wasn't his role in the NBA. I think he has a legit shot.
Re: A tribute to our Chicago connection Ben Moore and SterliThere isn't enough emotion in this thread. There is a shot I bawl tomorrow. Love me some Ben Moore, a legend in many ways, but Sterling Brown will forever and always be my guy. He taught my kids how to ball as much as I did. He taught them to fear nothing, be in the moment and focused, walk that line between intense and unstable, all while leading by example on D and the glass.
This, right now, is why you take your NCAA meds last year. These are our 4 yr kids, our backbone. I know its not feasible, but sure would be great if SMU could travel LB, Nic etc to the NCAA. Show of force, unity and family.
Re: A tribute to our Chicago connection Ben Moore and SterliFarewell tears will fall, love these 'Stangs!
Re: A tribute to our Chicago connection Ben Moore and Sterli<-------- singing varsity
Re: A tribute to our Chicago connection Ben Moore and SterliWatching Ben Moore cross that guy on his drive to the hoop was just sick! At 6'8" he handles like a point guard.
The play got a nice roar from the crowd! They will be missed. Pony 81
Re: A tribute to our Chicago connection Ben Moore and SterliIt will be a sad moment this Saturday for me-love these guys who took our program to a level I never thought I would see again. I would love to see Sterling on the Mavs next year. He is a Carlisle type of player.
Re: A tribute to our Chicago connection Ben Moore and SterliOh heck, I am getting all tearing eyed just reading this thread. Will miss Ben and Sterling like no others. Love them.
