Agreed. I just thought it would have been nice to have him on the poll for that reason alone.

I wouldn't call him the player of the game, but that was the most ridiculous last-second shot I've seen since I've been watching the Ponies play.
(Well, the best by an SMU player -- I still hate Van Horn for his ridiculous shot that knocked us out of the WAC Tournament....)

Don't mention that Van Horn shot, I still have nightmares about it. That's why I hated him coming to the Mavericks, it brings it all back.

I listened to that whole game on the radio with ESPN on the TV hoping they would switch to the game. SMU built the big lead and then quit scoring and Utah kept creeping closer and closer. Then ESPN switches the National Audience to the final minute of the game so the whole country can see us blow it
