JarreyJust rewatching part of the game tonight and I was blown away by how well he plays defense. Besides leading the team in blocks, watching him body up on bigger players inside is really something. The play where he takes the charge is terrific.
Re: JarreyDude blocks so many shots as a wing too
Re: JarreyHe is as good a shot blocking wing as you'll find.

Re: JarreyThe block on the desperation end of shot clock 3 was impressive too. His body control to avoid fouls while still being very aggressive is excellent.
Re: JarreyJarrey has been fantastic this year. He has a really good all-around game this year. And he has taken a large step forward offensively since his freshman year. He could be really special the next 2 seasons.
I wouldn't be surprised to see us play small from time to time with Jarrey at the 4 next year, since he can D up against most 4's and is a matchup problem on offense.
Re: JarreyHe had a very strong game Sunday and came up big during a couple of key stretches. Is there a better top to bottom starting five in the tourney? Debatable.

Re: JarreyInterested to see how the guys do in the first 4 mins on Friday (including Jarrey). Part of me thinks nerves and part of me thinks killer instinct
Re: Jarrey
Agreed. Great presence of mind to sneak a look at the shot clock on the other end of the court. Doris noticed as well and gave him high praise. "[College] referees couldn't manage a White Castle." -Mark Cuban
Re: Jarrey
I think we'll see a pretty chill team, actually. Sterling and Ben will be dialed in for sure. We know about Semi. Shake's natural temperature is about 82.6. And Jarrey seems the kind of guy who will rise to the occasion. Just a hunch. Can't believe this team has done what it's done without Nic.
Re: Jarreyhis game is kind of reminiscent of a young dwyane wade... he always led the league in blocks for a guard and that's not where the similarities end.

Re: Jarrey
Interesting comparison and agree....probably already ahead of D Wade from beyond the arc when he was at Marquette. Needs to work on his mid-range game and his finishing around the rim the past few games hasn't been as good as it was at times early in the season. #Beat Clemson
Re: Jarreyterrific defender, shot blocker and rebounder who also shoots the three pretty well. He's going to be a really good 4 year player for SMU
Re: JarreyOn a lot of plays I see Jarrey blow by his defender and it looks like he can rise up for a dunk but chooses to dribble under the rim or pass it out. If he starts converting those he could be a very scary player
Re: JarreyJarrey has been impressive all year for the things he does that aren't in the stats. Over and over he keeps balls alive by tapping the ball out on offensive rebounds. he doesn't get the credit but he sure has an assist for the offensive rebound. His defense has been rock solid as has his rebounding. HIs offense has improved and I think next year he could be one of our recognized outstanding players.
Re: Jarrey
Ryan Manuel didnt get consistently vicious around the basket until his senior year, right? maybe that comes with time/confidence/seniority for some... @seagulls00
