At the same time Marshall had been pretty good in football for several years before they were invited to CUSA and what did they do?

Tulane had an undefeated season in 1998 and 3 winning seasons since..........but they bring a tv market! (where is the sarcasm font?)

cMF is right, Marshall is a horrible guy or at least abnormally quirky to the point being unlikable. That said, what do people want? This has the potential to be a far better hoops conference than fball, but the upper eschelon needs bolstering, add bids etc. People can argue dumb junk like markets, of which no one in the AAC truly delivers one. Or, we can just be happy the quality of ball improbpved in league. It's a program that spends on hoops, Marshall or not. They are Koch funded. It's also a full arena.

Now,,no way they roll next years AAC, even w full roster back. I don't buy any of that noise lol

Don't undersell them. They have a long history of success and support dating back to the Dave Stallworth era. They fit right in there with Creighton, Butler, and the Zags.

I just remember WSU and Kelly Peete knocking a talented SMU team out of the tournament back in the 60's when I thought we had enough talent to make a deep run. I've always looked at them as a Tulsa like bball program
