Full roster guys are a dime a dozen. And by that I mean no knock on Dashawn, a classy kid. Hopefully he makes a choice that gets him both playing time and a great education. Transfers...for both good and bad... are just the way of the world these days. This one could work out well for both Dashawn and SMU.

Transfers happen. Glad Semi transfered and did not stay at Duke.

Players like to play. I feel confident he knew his playing time at SMU would be limited. Sorry to see him leave, but I think I understand his reasoning.

Of the lost class we need to replace big guys. We have plenty of outstanding guards.

Was this the first SMU class where every member transferred/left school?

Well, we had the class that was just Cam Spencer, and he transferred.

We had a death penalty football class that mostly all transferred although if I recall one or two stayed at SMU.

New HC at Seattle looking to upgrade their talent. Dashawn might be an impact guy by the time he becomes eligible

About all we know about McDowell right now is that he is a horrid FT shooter. He sublimated his game to fit within the game plan to get the ball to our play makers-because that's what the Coaches asked him to do. We also know that he has the ability to draw fouls and his FG shooting was fine from the field for a true freshman. He hustles on both Offense/Defense/Rebounding. Now he gets the opportunity to expand his game outside the restraints of his "role" in last season's SMU team.
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

Was wondering where he would end up. He didnt have many options in his home state, doubt ou or osu would take him. Not sure we would allow him to go to tulsa (if we could block it) and ORU has a no tattoo policy for its basketball players
