Sad story!
The Arkansas Court of Appeals upheld the conviction of a former S.M.U. All-America wide receiver charged with raping girls he met while working as a substitute teacher. Emanuel Tolbert, 44, claimed that evidence against him was insufficient and that he was barred from asking questions that might have shown that the victims were biased against him because they intended to sue him for civil damages. The Court of Appeals rejected all of his arguments.

Re: Emanuel Tolbert
Very sad. I am afraid the evidence was pretty impressive. There was an undercover sting that got Tolbert.
The actual charges were not rape but sex with a minor (perhaps statutory rape) but the girls involved did not claim that he force sex on them rather he seduced them. Either way, Tolbert is married to a very pleasant woman that is attractive as well. Don't understand why he did what he did.

Not so sure I would call that sad, more like embarassing. Who ever sad that any press was good press was obviously mistaken as evidenced by this.
