this is an article from 09 but I thought it was interesting and gives some insight into what he went through at smu. ramon was one of my all-time favorite smu players so i'm excited to have him back.
This was "my era" and he was about the only thing exciting about SMU football back then. Rossley ran the run n shoot (back when it was still a 'thing') and Flanigan was explosive. Fans actually came and we played teams people cared about. I vividly remember playing Arky in the Cotton Bowl. He and Brian Berry were fun to watch especially. Would have been incredible to have seen him play with the pony express (different systems I know, but could you imagine a defense trying to defend ED and Ramon in an option?!?)
