better to be playing against a weaker field than taking a week off. Would be nice for one of our guys to actually pick up a win...would be a nice consolation prize for not making it to The Open Championship

If either win, they are in the Open. There is always a plane waiting nearby to take the winner overseas.

Sitting at 49 on the money list it shouldn't be a close shave for him to keep his card for next year so yeah maybe taking a week off - although it would be a great week to go for a win and some money.

Although it's a win, the Barbisol doesn't come with all the perks of the other tournaments (see Cody Gribble at the Sanders which is opposite a WGC event). Kelly has his card locked up for next year so it's a good time to take a break and make a push for top 30 FedEx.

Kelly is back in action at the Canadian Open this week but 1st round 6 over has him at the bottom of the leaderboard. Looking like another weekend off.
